Daily Eargasm Music Blog
Daily Eargasm Home

The net, just like the media is filled with the same mundane musical garbage day in and day out. I figured that since I can’t find more than a few decent music and mp3 blogs online, that I’d create one of my own. I am multi eargasmic, so expect Indie, Trip Hop, Grindcore, Emo, Hip Hop, Pop, Metal, Reggae, Experimental, Punk, Folk or any genre that’s still undefined! That having been said, I urge all artists to with interview requests, mp3 singles that I can post, tour dates or any juicy gossip that you should probably keep to yourself. Now…On to the music!

Travis Barker Takes A Break...Literally
This week has gone from bad to worse for Travis Barker. First the drummer/producer/clothing designer had to deal with a feud between his Ex Wife and his current "lady friend" Paris Hilton, and now he has some medical news that's really putting him down for the count. After returning from some gigs in Europe with +44, he had some tests done on a sore arm. According to Travis himself, "I had every test possible to see what was going on in my arm. The MRI/X-Ray showed I'd been playing with a broken arm for 3 weeks and or possible tumor in my arm ... I've been told to eat meat and change my diet (I've been a vegetarian for 16 years) cause it's making my bones weak. I never thought I'd break a bone from playing my drums too hard/too long."

While Travis may be out for a while, have no fear. He's attempting to play the +44 songs with just 1 arm (which he is testing tonight). If he's unable to do so, you can catch him again in 8 weeks after his arm is fully healed.

The Brotherhood Of Dan Han New Downloads And A New Plus-44 Video
The Brotherhood of Dae Han announced today that two new rough mixes of songs that will be featured on their upcoming full length record "For the Glory of Olde Virginia" will be posted this Sunday. Big things have been happening with these guys lately as they were recently informed that their song "Bury Me" is going to be put on the Warped Tour: Ernie Ball Battle of The Bands Compilation released September 26th on Warcon Records (My American Heart, Bleed the Dream, Helmet).

More news in the quest to replace Blink 182: Plus 44's debut music video for their upcoming single, "When Your Heart Stops Beating" is going to be premiering on September 21st on all MTV networks. The making of the video will be shown on MTV2 on September 30th in case you are an aspiring film major who wants to film music videos for peanuts. Also if you are interested in seeing these guys live, a review of their debut show at The Roxy has been posted here.

In case you are one of the kiddos checking out Scary Kids Scaring Kids (which I don't know why you would be since I doubt you'd want to be scared), the show will be taking place at
HAMILTON ST. Cafe instead of School of Rock. I gues rumors of them kicking the New Jersey Nets from the Continental Arena tonight were false.

Plus-44 Anounces Official Tour Dates
The "punk rock" side project featuring Travis Barker and Mark Hoppus has announced their upcoming tour dates after some rumors sent false dates swirling around the Internet. While there isn't much out there in terms of recorded songs for us to listen to, you can check out their first punk ballad at their website, Plus-44.com . For some reason I think it's a sappy breakup song sent to their ex Blink 182 member Tom Delonge who has moved on to grown up "alternative band Angels And Airwaves, but I could be wrong. Anyways, check out the tour dates and try to catch Travis Barker pounding the skins for this pop-punk outfit before he hopefully returns to a real band, The Aquabats!
