The net, just like the media is filled with the same mundane musical garbage day in and day out. I figured that since I can’t find more than a few decent music and mp3 blogs online, that I’d create one of my own. I am multi eargasmic, so expect Indie, Trip Hop, Grindcore, Emo, Hip Hop, Pop, Metal, Reggae, Experimental, Punk, Folk or any genre that’s still undefined! That having been said, I urge all artists to
with interview requests, mp3 singles that I can post, tour dates or any juicy gossip that you should probably keep to yourself. Now…On to the music!
Jadakiss Is Busted And Jay Z's New Track Is Leaked
While I'm not a big fan of mainstream hip hop, I must admit that it's news is much more interesting than that of its rock counterparts. On Saturday in Yonkers, NY, Jadakiss and his crew of merry men were arrested on weapons and drug charges. Jadakiss was 1 of 4 men who were sitting in a 2006 Toyota Camry that was oozing weed smoke as an officer approached. Upon closer inspection, the cop found a stolen .38 caliber that was loaded, and a driver that was under the influence. The four men were taken to County Jail and will be held until at least Tuesday, when they will be scheduled to appear in court and released on bond.
My only wonder is why a rapper like Jadakiss is being transported in a Toyota Camry?! Was the Bentley in the shop, or did he finally have to pay back his record advances?
In other mainstream hip hop news, a new Jay Z track from his upcoming album was leaked and can be heard here at XXL Mag. The track is titled Show Me What You Got and it was produced by Just Blaze. Reportedly, this will be the album's first single. I hate to say it, but if this is a hint at what's to come, Jay Z should have stayed retired. His flow is off, the beat makes my ears ring and he's too busy focusing on the hooks while forgetting about the verses. Is he doing a musical impression of Michael Jordan (returning after retirement, only to disgrace himself), or am I just a poor judge of quality music?
Jay-Z Comes Out Of Retirement And Head Rejoins Korn
We all knew it didn't we? Jay-Z just couldn't stay out of the rap game without being a solo artist himself. Sure he's the head of a major label, the boyfriend of Beyonce and a part owner of the NJ Nets, but he just couldn't put the mic down for good. This fall, Kingdom Come will hit the shelves, thus bringing Hova out of "retirement". Producers of some of the tracks include Timbaland, Kanye West and Dr. Dre. Even Coldplay frontman produced a track called "Beach Chair".
So will he ever actually retire? "If I wake up one day and the best material has passed me by — and that's going to happen," he said, "then it's time to move on. I've said what I wanted to say."
In other news of artists coming out of retirement, Brian "Head" Welch posted some interesting news in his online journal:
"Hi, everyone!! I've got good news for you! I've been speaking with Jon and Munk' about us and the split.. and finally I can say that I'm taking the right side of the stage again for our next KORN tour and album. I'm so excited!! I will post more later."
I guess Head wasn't getting as much booty as an alter boy, so he decided snorting coke off the asses of strippers and giving people the middle finger from the stage was a much better alternative. Jesus declined making comments about the split between the two as a tear dropped down his cheek.
