Daily Eargasm Music Blog
Daily Eargasm Home

The net, just like the media is filled with the same mundane musical garbage day in and day out. I figured that since I can’t find more than a few decent music and mp3 blogs online, that I’d create one of my own. I am multi eargasmic, so expect Indie, Trip Hop, Grindcore, Emo, Hip Hop, Pop, Metal, Reggae, Experimental, Punk, Folk or any genre that’s still undefined! That having been said, I urge all artists to with interview requests, mp3 singles that I can post, tour dates or any juicy gossip that you should probably keep to yourself. Now…On to the music!

Cute Is What We Aim For Goes Unplugged
Now that this whole Britney Spears thing is so 2 days ago, I can get back to real news about real music. This time I'll show a little love to a band that hot chicks and trendy high school kiddos like to pay attention to. No I don't mean Panic! At The Disco, but I am referring to a band on the same Fueled By Ramen label.

How do you take a group of sensitive guys with long hair and manicured nails, and make them sound even more sensitive and EMOtional? Simple. You put them in a studio, give them all acoustic guitars and ask them to let it all out! Cute Is What We Aim For will be performing an acoustic session for The AP Show ( Fungus 53/XM Radio). The acoustic session will be aired on the following dates and times:

Sunday, November 26, 2006 5pm EST
Wednesday, November 29, 2006 9am EST
Saturday, December 2, 2006 6pm EST

New Albums From Method Man, Gym Class Heros, Sugarcult & More
Happy Tuesday everybody. After a crappy night of NFL football, we've only got the release of new albums today to perk us back up. Sure we have the shitty releases from a brain dead Jessica Simpson and Super-diva Beyonce, but there are also some good artists hitting the shelves today that are worth a listen. Got a few bucks stashed in the piggybank? Bust it open and snag a couple of these releases.

Starting off with hip hop lyricists, Method Man dropped 4:24...The Day After on us. With this release, he seems to have gone back to his old ways by losing the production shine that's cluttered his last few albums. Dirty Mef sets the tone of this album as ODB makes a posthumous appearance to drop the sickest flow he ever has in a 06' interpretation of M-E-T-H-O-D Man. Stream some tracks on Method Man's Myspace Page

Fueled By Ramen has also released a couple of albums today. My favorite of the two has to be Gym Class Heros titles As Cruel As School Children. These hip hoppers took the country by storm as the token Warped Tour rappers, but actually gained respect that rappers in the past have failed to garner. Their sound is definitely unique, and although live instrumentation is used on almost all tracks, don't lump them in to the Rap-Rock category...These cats have a sound of their own. Stream 4 Gym Class Heroes songs at Purevolume now.

The second album release from Fueled By Ramen comes from Cute Is What We Aim For and goes by the name of The Same Old Blood. Judging by today's musical soundscape, this sugary sweet pop-emo album could be huge if a couple of the videos actually hit TRL in the near future. Gauging by the label's track record with the release from Panic! At The Disco, it may be very possible that these sensitive rockers will be a household name in no time. The songs are hook heavy, the groove is super melodic and the production quality screams "Play Me On MTV!" You can check out a few songs on Cute Is What We Aim For's Purevolume Page.

Ex-pop punkers Sugarcult have also released a new album called Lights Out. I'm a bit stumped to see that these guys have taken on the phrasing and pronunciation that has made The Killers and The Bravery huge hits. It's always a weird thing to hear a US Citizen taking on a bit of a British Accent, but that's what all the hipsters are doing these days I guess. I just wish somebody would have told them that nu-metal was so last year. This album definitely isn't following in the footsteps of Bouncing Off The Walls, so there's a chance you'll either love the new sound or hate it. Regardless, you can stream the entire album at this site.

Into Electro Alternative? I am a bit myself as well, and have stumbled across a pretty solid album from Wired All Wrong. Break Out The Battle Tapes was released today but it's rumored that retailers aren't stocking many copies. Do yourself a favor and save some gas by snagging it on iTunes. These guys don't have their official website up yet, but their Myspace page has 4 songs you can stream.

Last but not least are 2 albums I spoke about earlier from and HeavensNorma Jean. Both are on sale at a great price, and both go off hard in various directions: Alkaline Trio fans, please see and metal heads must visit HeavensNorma Jean. It's not as simple as it sounds, but let's pretend it is.
