The Killers - Joy Ride (Night Version Mix)

For all of you fans of The Killers, there is a new piece of ear candy for you to consume. A new Night Version mix of The Killers’ Joy Ride is gracing the B-side of the new European single The World We Live In. I don’t really know how to explain it other the Killers doing a Duran Duran impersonation with a Brazillian tribe providing the musical soundtrack. The result is definitely an interesting one and I don’t have an mp3 version, but be sure to stream the song above.

You know how I know you’re gay? You listen to Coldplay. Ok, so maybe you’re not gay and even if you are, there’s nothing wrong with that. There’s also nothing wrong with Coldplay giving away their new live album, LeftRightLeftRightLeft for free until 09/19/09.

In the words of Coldplay.com: “Today is also the day of the band’s first North American tour date, in West Palm Beach, where the first copies of the LRLRL CD will be given away. The CD will then be handed out to all fans at every remaining Coldplay live show in 2009 (apart from Festival shows). The free download will also be available from Coldplay.com until the band play their final 2009 show.”

Yeah Yeah Yeahs: Tour Dates And Letterman Live Performance

I’ve always been a huge fan of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs. Whether it’s a complete freak out track like Art Star, or the whisper soft Maps, Karen O has never failed to impress me. Although they are skipping over my home town (Las Vegas) this time around, some of you within the states will get to see them very soon in support of It’s Blitz. If you’re lucky enough to have them stopping a city near you, be sure to start saving up a little cash. Below are their US tour dates along with a video of their flawless performance of Zero on Letterman a couple weeks back.

Kid Cudi Signs With Universal Motown

On the strength of the single Day ‘N’ Nite, Universal Motown has snapped up this chart smashing hip hop artist. Kid Cudi manages to touch on multiple genres including, R&B, rock, pop and of course, hip hop. If you’ve lived in a cave and haven’t heard Kid Cudi yet, you can listen to the entire album stream of Plain Pat & Emile Presents a Kid Named Cudi below. It’s great to see a hip hop artist that isn’t using auto-tune on every track, being signed to a major label .

Eminem Video For We Made You

Well, it’s been 5 years since Eminem was last significant in the mainstream hip hop world, and nothing has changed. From the over the top videos to the ridiculous pop culture references, this is a man that craves the limelight so much, that he can’t seem to escape the past. However, what worked in the past might not work out in the present, as TRL is just a memory, he has no auto-tune on his voice, and there is no Lil Wayne cameo. Did I also mention that the whiny reggae voice isn’t flattering when it spans an ENTIRE song?

Eminem should have kept his retirement promise, while living in Boca Raton playing 18 holes on the daily with Bob Barker. Since he hasn’t and I think a laugh a day at the pompus is good for your heart, I’ll be a friend and give you one!
