Silversun Pickups - Panic Switch Remixed by Chin & TroubleMaker

Silversun Pickups

Laced with epic electronic drum fills and fade in/outs that make you think you’re losing your hearing, Panic Switch by Silversun Pickups has been remixed. TroubleMaker got together with Chin (aka Kristian Rile) to give the shoegaze rockers track a trance-like treatment. The blend is quite intoxicating and definitely worth a listen if you need to take a few minutes for yourself to relieve a bit of stress. Hell, even if you’re not stressed and you have a hankering for some good ol’ electronic shoegaze, this will easily fulfill your auditory needs!

Kid Cudi Signs With Universal Motown

On the strength of the single Day ‘N’ Nite, Universal Motown has snapped up this chart smashing hip hop artist. Kid Cudi manages to touch on multiple genres including, R&B, rock, pop and of course, hip hop. If you’ve lived in a cave and haven’t heard Kid Cudi yet, you can listen to the entire album stream of Plain Pat & Emile Presents a Kid Named Cudi below. It’s great to see a hip hop artist that isn’t using auto-tune on every track, being signed to a major label .

IDMF003 - Mind Tree Album Stream And Download

IDM Forums just dropped an amazing compilation featuring some up and coming electronic artists that contribute to the community. In the words of IDM, “Every possible emotion is touched upon: melancholy, anger, excitement, and happiness being just a few, and all of them are perfectly blended into a cross-genre compilation of only a fraction of the talented artists that contribute to IDM Forums.” If you feel like escaping your busy life for a little bit, kick your feet up, play this album and just let yourself go. Bjork Gets Remixed By Switch

bjork-flower1

If I were going to hop in a Mars bound space ship flown by Buck Rodgers, and it would be a 5 minute 15 second journey, I know what would be playing while on this mission: Bjork’s Nattura, remixed by Switch. This gem of a remix takes you from warp speed, to cruising, through turbulence, and then lands you without a scratch on your head. This could also be used as the song that plays during the Space Mountain ride and I wouldn’t complain. Regardless, sit back, crank up your speakers and get lost in this insane remix.

Eminem Video For We Made You

Well, it’s been 5 years since Eminem was last significant in the mainstream hip hop world, and nothing has changed. From the over the top videos to the ridiculous pop culture references, this is a man that craves the limelight so much, that he can’t seem to escape the past. However, what worked in the past might not work out in the present, as TRL is just a memory, he has no auto-tune on his voice, and there is no Lil Wayne cameo. Did I also mention that the whiny reggae voice isn’t flattering when it spans an ENTIRE song?

Eminem should have kept his retirement promise, while living in Boca Raton playing 18 holes on the daily with Bob Barker. Since he hasn’t and I think a laugh a day at the pompus is good for your heart, I’ll be a friend and give you one!

And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of Dead - Isis Unveiled (video)

Former buzzworthy band with a name that would make sense on a Panic At The Disco tracklist, has released a new video for the song Isis Unveiled. The video is definitely not something you’ll want to watch if you are currently on acid (as I know so many people surf the internet while on acid), but it is something you’ll want to see if you like insane demons, clans of dead people and the mug of Conrad Keely. Of course the music that accompanies it is worth a listen as well, so enjoy yourself!

Afghan Raiders Remix The Faint - Mirror Error

afghan-raiders-live

I was jumping up and down like an excited schoolgirl when I saw that the Afghan Raiders were featured on Spin.com.  This was amazing on 2 accounts:

1. I’m not a schoolgirl, yet I could mimic the jumping capability of one perfectly. I am trying to figure out what I should do with this new found talent.

2. It’s great to see these guys getting the press they deserve after busting their asses in the studio and on the road.

If you’ve never heard the Afghan Raiders, it is about time that you do. Their tracks are pure electro-thrash with pulsating beats that blend perfectly with Mikey Francis’ distorted vocals. Beans and Mikey do their best to make sure that you know they are not DJ’s, and they make this quite apparent during their live sets that are sure to scorch your eyebrows off. Give a listen to the Afghan Raiders track below which remixes The Faint’s Mirror Error.

Junior Boys Stream Begone Dull Care

If you like Canadian music with lots of synth beeps, blips and bops, than I’ve got something for you! Junior Boys are releasing Begone Dull Care on April 7th, but thanks to the guys at Imeem, you are able to stream this album below. I’m not sure that you can have a wild free-for all kegger type listening party with your friends for this album, but you can definitely invite a few over for some Jenga, Rubik’s Cube battles and grape soda. I suggest this because that’s what I’m doing later on. Enjoy the free album stream below!

El Grupo Nuevo De Omar Rodriguez Lopez

Omar Rodriguez Lopez is a man who apparently never sleeps, belongs to more bands than Dave Grohl, and can be used as a brillo pad if you turn him upside down and run him across the floor. Aside from all of those amazing facts, he is finally releasing Cryptomnesia, which is the first release in a series of three albums recorded in 2006. The album’s lineup is quite impressive and includes Zach Hill (HELLA) on drums, Jonathan Hischke (HELLA) on synth bass, and Juan Alderete de la Peña (THE MARS VOLTA) on bass guitar. Aside from those players, Cryptomnesia features the vocals of Cedric Bixler Zavala on eight of the album’s eleven tracks.

Check out the trailer below, and get ready for this bad boy to drop.
